| Avilčiai (pronounced /əˈvɪltʃeɪ/) is a small village in the Molėtai district municipality, Lithuania, halfway between the towns of Molėtai and Alanta. Only about 40 people, mostly seniors, live in Avilčiai. People lived in the environs of Avilčiai since ancient times as evidenced by archeological artifacts. During the Soviet times the village had a school and a library. There were 21 families (95 people) living there more than 60 years ago. After the melioration, most of the people moved out because their houses were torn down. There is almost no youth in Avilčiai so the school was closed down. A ritual stone with a hole that looks like a man's foot is located near the village. Dysnai This article is about village. About the lake see: Lake Dysnai Dysnai is a camping on the Glade nearby Lithuanian Dysnai lake (30 km from Visaginas – a satellite-town of Ignalina NPP), a kind of show in the forest that lasts for seven days each year. History The first festival of young nuclear operators called "Dysnai" was held in 1988. Since that time every year boys and girls who work at nuclear enterprises, nuclear power plants (NPP) or live in satellite-towns of NPP have been coming to the same place in Lithuania in the first week of July. They participate not only as individuals but as teams too - delegations from Russia, Ukraine, Lithuania, Central and Western Europe (representatives from Belgium, Bulgaria, Germany, Great Britain, Hungary, Romania, Slovakia, Sweden etc.). Summary The Program usually consists of the Opening Panel on the Glade (welcoming speeches, flags rising, introduction of participants, fireworks etc.), the Symposium, Young Specialist Day, an excursion to interesting places of Lithuania, Technical Tour to Ignalina NPP and different youth games on Festival Glade. That form of youth policy deals not only with professional purposes (there are some other procedures) but with establishing of human contacts, a kind of "human diplomacy". It's a dialogue of colleagues divided by state borders but having high professional potential and united by the same job and fortune. Such policy is supported by NPP' administration, welcomed by plant's personnel, press and public opinion thanks to the festival spirit of friendship and coexistence. Ginučiai Ginučiai is a village in Aukštaitija National Park, Ignalina district of Lithuania. It is best known for its 19th century watermill. It is one of the few mills having the original mechanism working. Ginučiai watermill is declared an engineering monument. Kulionys Kulionys is a village in Lithuania (Molėtai district municipality), near Molėtai, mostly famous for its astronomical observatory and Lithuanian museum of ethnocosmology. Palūšė Palūšė (Polish: Połusze) is a touristic village in Aukštaitija National Park in eastern Lithuania, south-west of Ignalina. The church of Palūšė, built in 1750, is considered to be the oldest surviving wooden church in Lithuania.It is a beautiful place in Ignalina and is made completely out of wood , with no nails used , many events happen at this church. Rubikiai Rubikiai is a village located close to the Lake Rubikiai, Anykščiai district municipality, Lithuania. It is known for a narrow gauge railroad line that is now protected by the state. Stripeikiai Stripeikiai is the oldest village in Aukštaitija National Park, Ignalina district. It is best known for its unique ethnograpic beekeeping museum. The museum was founded in 1974 by Bronius Kazlas and now receives about 10,000 visitors annually. The museum is dedicated to the development of beekeeping throughout the ages. Guests can sample fresh honey at the end of their visit.
